India government has slashed the price of 19 kg commercial Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinder by ₹183.50.
After the reduction, the price of a commercial cylinder in Delhi has come down from ₹3,113.50 to ₹2,930.
The move comes as a major relief for restaurants, hotels and businesses, after months of hikes in prices of cooking gas cylinders. The price has been slashed taking into consideration the improving conditions in West Asia.
The revised prices take effect from July 1. However, the price of 14 kg domestic cylinders remain unchanged.
