Chicago: Michelle Obama has always been the lady who knew her outfits. In fact, she was one of the most fashionably dressed first lady's in American history. Once again long after leaving her official title and the White House, Obama never fails to bring her clothing game down.
At the newly opened Obama Presidential Center in Chicago, the former first lady of US Michelle Obama wore an honorary custom-made Acne Studios design pencil skirt which had the portrait print of Marian Robinson, her beloved mother who died in 2024.
She appeared for the event alongside her husband and former US President Barack Obama.
Meredith Koop, Obama's stylist since 2010 is the creative head behind this look as well.
The design echoed a look from Acne’s Fall/Winter 2026 runway collection, which featured a similar skirt printed with an image of a young man by Dutch artist Paul Kooiker. The styling also mimicked the model of the Paris show who wore a similar brown-tshirt with a thin belt to accessorize the look.
The Obama Presidential Center, opened officially on June 19 at Jackson Park Chicago is a newly constructed building to honor the first black president of the country. The museum tower is managed by the Obama Foundation and is home to various art installations, a fully digitized presidential library, unique artefacts and multimedia displays documenting key moments from the Obama presidency from 2009 to 2017.
