Looking for a quick, wholesome snack packed with fresh vegetables? This no-maida, no-bake vegetable roll is made with a simple wheat flour wrap and a crunchy veggie filling, making it a healthy and satisfying option for breakfast, lunch or an evening snack.

Ingredients

For the wrap

  • 4 cups wheat flour
  • 1–2 cups water (as required)
  • Salt, to taste
  • 1 cube butter

For the filling

  • 1–2 lettuce leaves, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp carrot, cut into tiny cubes
  • 1 tbsp zucchini, cut into tiny cubes
  • 1 tbsp tomato, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp sweet corn kernels
  • 1 tbsp garlic mayonnaise
  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp chilli flakes
  • Salt, to taste

Method

Prepare the wraps

  1. In a bowl, combine the wheat flour and a pinch of salt.
  2. Gradually add water and whisk until you get a smooth, lump-free batter with a dosa-like consistency.
  3. Lightly grease a dosa pan with butter.
  4. Pour a ladle of batter onto the pan and spread it evenly.
  5. Cook until the underside turns golden, then flip and cook the other side.
  6. Repeat with the remaining batter to make more wraps.

Prepare the filling

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the lettuce, carrot, zucchini, tomato and sweet corn.
  2. Add the garlic mayonnaise, Italian seasoning and chilli flakes.
  3. Mix well and season with salt if required.

Assemble the rolls

  1. Place a portion of the vegetable filling in the centre of each wrap.
  2. Roll it tightly and serve immediately.
